Sounds like typical Edinburgh nimbyism. Everything getting complained about by the old diddies of Morningside who don't even visit the city centre.

Moooooooooved by the plight of the Kyloe Coo!!
Guest#78 Jan 31, 2014, 14:11

It's doing no harm, it's great. Council being 'jobsworths'

Guest#79 Jan 31, 2014, 15:25
If the council can have fairground shows in princes street and in St Andrew's Square, how can the Kyloe Cow not be left as is, perhaps if the council had discount for eating there..................

Save the Kyloe Cow

Job's worth! Keeping up standards is one thing and stopping businesses providing suitable and appropriate advertising and marketing is another. This example pleases! Its a landmark and a tourist attraction benefit. The Council should spend more time pursuing appallingly presented properties not picking on a superb and characteristic high street business frontage.

Holy Cow
Guest#82 Jan 31, 2014, 16:40
Too many local pubs are being closed.
Guest#83 Jan 31, 2014, 16:43
Silly it looks fine, I hate the council....
Guest#84 Jan 31, 2014, 18:34
Edinburgh Council - Seriously! Take a run up ma ribs. ffs.
Guest#85 Jan 31, 2014, 18:35
Leave the coo alone or I'll phone the RSPCA! Seriously it's a brilliant feature that adds character to the area. After all the damage and loss if business from the dreaded trams the Council should leave well alone.
Guest#86 Jan 31, 2014, 19:08
Good to see they are spending time on important matters.. Oh wait..
Guest#87 Jan 31, 2014, 20:12
The Kyloe cow is an entertaining and informative presence on the building, adding to its character and confirming Edinburgh as a welcoming , relaxed and creative city.
Guest#88 Jan 31, 2014, 23:27
Really Edinburgh Council. Focus your time and money on better things. It's not as if your reputation isn't already at rock bottom
Guest#89 Feb 01, 2014, 07:48
Leave the Kyloe cow where it is.
Guest#90 Feb 01, 2014, 08:44
Please cave the Kyloe Cow!
Guest#91 Feb 01, 2014, 12:07

Guest#92 Feb 01, 2014, 12:13

Guest#93 Feb 01, 2014, 12:51

Guest#94 Feb 02, 2014, 06:08

Re:

I completely agree! It became a tourist attraction, everybody loves it! I don't understand why they would want to remove it now

Guest#95 Feb 02, 2014, 09:30
Get a life Edinburgh Council. The alleged 'Complainants' are probably all Council Employees.Leave the Businesses that have to work hard to pay the rates, to pay your wages, alone.
Guest#96 Feb 03, 2014, 10:01
This is typical of Edinburgh District Council and the Planning Department in particular. They pick on the small matters and leave the big issues and big people alone. They pay no attention to the wishes of the council tax payers they are supposed to represent.
Guest#97 Feb 03, 2014, 10:10
I think this is ridiculous that they should be worried about a cow looking out of a window considering the disruption caused by the tram works that are not even in service yet.
Guest#98 Feb 03, 2014, 19:38
The Kyloe cow is part of Edinburgh just down the road a steel and glass monstrosity is planned The councillors of Edinburgh shouldn't have their noses up a cows arse as much as they do. Kyloes is the best eating place in Edinburgh and the Kyloe cow is part of it. Next it will be the cow on the pavement!! then they will put lots of hideous signs up in its place for drongos who cant read a street map!! Keep the cow
Guest#99 Feb 03, 2014, 19:54
Edinburgh Council have got a nerve after what they have done to the businesses in the west end of Edinburgh!
Guest#100 Feb 04, 2014, 12:29
Unbelievable that the council has this stance! They tear down historic buildings and replace with hideous 'architectural' rubbish. Carltongate, parliament, the trams to name three. To worry about a cow is ludicrous!
