Sad to see such bullying tactics taking place In a forum where we are supposed to tautoko each other and have respect for our tikanga. Regardless of culture - Maori or Pakeha, clearly there was lack of common courtesy and common sense. Truth will always prevail, and I hope for all our whanau that this is not going to be a continual hindrance on our being able to move forward / progress. I pray our Kaitiaki protect our whanau through-out this journey, as sadly this seems to be an ongoing issue for Maori on a national scale when we enter into a forum that even with the best of training, we always tend to think we know better and believe our own agenda is shared by all, and sadly those who lack knowledge of our tikanga think this is how things should be done. How we manage these learnings will be the challenge on whether or not we are all able to row our waka 'as one Iwi' or whether we walk away divided? This creates a decrease in whanau support for other positive things.... Let's stay strong, stand together and ensure that we uphold the integrity / mana of our Tupuna.
