No Mandatory Friday Classes at SCU

This petition is to urge the President of Southern California University of Health Sciences Dr. Scaringe to restore our original schedule of mandatory Monday-Thursday classes.  This is a doctorate program with adult students who work, have small children, spouses, mortgages, and manage their time very wisely in order to be successful in this program. Please do not disable us from managing our time in the way that is right for our lives.

I believe that if this plan of expanding the school week to five days continues, there will be a significant compromise of the diversity of our student population which now attracts all ages and walks of life. A program that is 5 days a week will appeal only to recent undergraduates. Not only will the scope of people that will attend SCU be narrowed, it will be making it that much more difficult for students who are advocating on the behalf of our profession to do so. Those of us who attend NCLC in Washington DC or Leg Con in Sacramento or represent our school at seminars will have to miss more school and be further discouraged from participating in a very important aspect of our career: advocacy.

Please sign this petitiion today and pass it on to any other student who you know feels the same way! Please use YOUR SCU EMAIL so we have proof that it is our student body that is signing this.
