LAWS AND PRACTICES:
Lebanon adheres to the United Nations Charter that states that all men are free and equal and have equal rights with no discrimination between men and women. Despite its adherence to the Charter of the United Nations and the signing of international treaties, there is still much discrimination against women both in the law and in practice.
"The civic status of women in Lebanon is the very basis of for the discrimination against them."
Needed social and political reforms in everyday life
Establish full equality between women and men
Implement the edicts of the International Convention on the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women
Remove the reservations placed on this Convention by Lebanon
Grant full citizenship to foreign women who marry Lebanese men
Grant the right to a Lebanese wife to give the Lebanese nationality to her children and her foreign husband
Establish non-sectarian secular laws to protect women's rights
Enable women to gain access to all executive political positions
Remove quotas limiting women’s participations in elections
Provide equal social benefits to women
Improve women’s rights in Industry
Ensure equal pay and promotion
Ensure adequate maternity leave
Ensure employment upon return from maternity leave
Ensure equal rights and equal responsibilities during marriage
Ensure equal rights upon the dissolution of marriage with regard to guardianship, trusteeship, adoption and custody of children
It is time to act ... to modernize ... to change...
“At every level, the progress of a nation is measured by the degree of women’s freedom”
VOTE FOR EQUAL RIGHTS OF WOMEN IN LEBANON!

Bring ALDI supermarkets to New Zealand!
I've started this petition to get Aldi to open up shops in NZ. After returning from Australia where I discovered and fell in love with Aldi for the first time. I was so impressed with the affordability, quality and range of food, clothing, house wear etc.I belive to make it more affordable for NZ consumers the supermarkets need more competition - Aldi is the answer to this and I feel it would be hugely popular here in NZ.I really belive there is a need and a market for this chain of supermarket

Proceed with Ōtepoti Dunedins George St Upgrade as planned
It's taken in excess of a decade to get to the point where our George Street upgrade is finally happening. There have been years of consultation, recommendations, reviews and mahi done to get us to this point, as well as HUGE amounts of residents money spent on the project so far. Important infrastructure upgrades beneath the road and a once in a lifetime opportunity to upgrade the street above ground into an inclusive, accessible shared retail and hospitality hub right in the heart of our CBD.

Oppose Rotorua Council's 'interim' model of 1 Maori seat, 1 General seat and 8 At Large seats recommended to the Local Government Commission
Please sign this petition and share it with others so the results can be tabled at the Local Government Commission Hearings on 23 March. Giving the 19,791 citizens on the Māori Roll and the 51,618 citizens on the General Roll one seat each to vote for will give those on the Māori Roll over 2.6 times the voting power of those on the General Roll. This will violate the New Zealand Bill of Rights which gives each citizen the right to vote in genuine elections with each vote having the same voting p

Petition concerning of simplifying the mutual recognition of Polish and New Zealand driving licenses.
We request the Ministry of Infrastructure of the Republic of Poland to finally step up for their own people and cooperate with the Government of New Zealand on the matter of simplifying the conversion of driving licenses both ways on the same terms as the other European Union countries, which means without the need to re-pass both theoretical and practical exams. We are calling on Labour to do the right thing by the people and call for a snap election so the people can elect new representatives who will be a Government of, by and for all people. NZTA should reduce the speed limit form 70k to 50k in the residential area of SH2 - Main North Road, Bay View
We are asking NZTA (Waka Kotahi) for the reduction of the speed limit to 50k for 3.2k of SH2 from the start of the residential area south to Franklin Road North in Bay View. This is a heavily populated residential area with a continuous flow of traffic, hundreds of vehicles daily travelling north and south from Napier - Taupo Road and Wairoa - Gisborne Road, logging trucks travelling from forests to Whirinaki Mill to Napier Port, then you have the residents trying to get in and out of driveways

Stop Aurora Energy planning power outages in Central Otago during Winter Months - June / July / August
Signing this petition means you agree that Aurora Energy should stop planning power outages in the Central Otago region during the Winter months of June / July & August. We except that ongoing line work is necessary to get the network up to standard. We except that planned outages are required for this work to be carried out. What we don't accept is these planned outages being carried out during the Winter months in Central Otago. Our region is the coldest in New Zealand during these months

Help stop the lower speed limits in Auckland.
From Thursday 26th January 2023 parts of Auckland's streets and roads will have their speed limits reduced, apparently to lower the road toll. This petition concentrates on the Weymouth/Manurewa area where some roads will have their speed limits reduced from 50kph to 30kph. E.g Weymouth Road. A lot of ratepayers money has been spent on sooo many speed humps to slow traffic down around the Manurewa area. Now we are all expected to crawl along the roads at 30kph. In my opinion this will cause road

That is central to where most of the population lives. Dog parks are great for dogs well as their owners. It provides a safe place for people to meet up socialise and exercise with their pets in a friendly welcoming environment. This petition is aimed at getting the attention of the KDC to provide for the welfare our beloved pooches. T
