REQUEST FOR VIRTUAL LEARNING

With full understanding of the underlying circumstances being faced by the University, we are petitioning the school to initiate online learning from 26th of February, 2024 given the conditions that the Management of APG Shimla University feels the need to retroactively extend the foreclosure of the university from the previously stated date id est 23rd of February, 2024.

Any further extention of the foreclosure of the University barring the commencement of the upcoming semester is deemed as an inconvenience inasmuch as a delayed start is equal to a delayed completion of the semester ab initio.

We place before you our issues of concern hereinafter;

1. The delay will interfere with plans of further studies and placement for those in final year. For example, Post Graduation studies and jobs that have been secured.

2. Visas for international students have stipulated time of expiring and an extension process of the same is time and energy consuming and costly.

3. The university does not hold any Graduation Ceremony for graduates, therefore students solely depend on external programs such as BINGU to celebrate such momentous events. This delay will result in failure of attendance. 

4. The consequences of a prolonged stay away from family has a negative impact  on students both financially and emotionally in terms of payments of rent, self upkeep and homesickness to name a few.

WHEREFORE, for the reasons raised herein, we kindly ask that the Management of APG Shimla University should initiate Virtual Learning starting from Monday, the 26th of February, 2024 given there is any further extention to the foreclosure of the university premises.
