Teacher's Day

Respected authorities,

The Science stream students write this petition to show strong disagreement over the decision made by the respected authorities of Navy children school, Mumbai regarding the dress code of Teacher's Day.

While we all agree that the decision has been made keeping the students in mind, but we would like to express our displeasure. Majority students belong to naval fraternity, and we've been to different military schools, but one thing that remained same in all schools was that on teachers' day we had the privilege of wearing the pretty sarees and smart formals. We all grew up watching our seniors turning up in gorgeous outfits on teacher's day.

This decision came as a strong gust of wind and blew away all the beautiful flowers of hope that we had in the garden of our thoughts. The thought of wearing nine yards of elegance and the black suit that would compel the juniors to turn their heads and admire us. We the Science students humbly request you to kindly take back the decision of wearing blue uniform and grant us the liberty to dress up as teachers. Also, because we had already chosen our outfit and were enthusiastic to enjoy and make memories.

As we enter the last year of our schooling, we do not wish to leave with an unfulfilled, silly, little dream, the dream to act as teachers one day, go to different classes, play games and socialize with the juniors. We've already been tested a lot, our batch had to face severe punishment on children's day and numerous other incidents. Science students have always stood together and faced the consequences of mistakes that weren't even theirs.
The science stream students demand the following thing:-

Keeping in mind the seniority, we want only the 12th standard students to be assigned the role of teacher. The 11th standard students are requested to be considered only and only if the need arise and the number of 12th standard students do not suffice the requirement.

Request to please remit the decision of wearing blue uniform on teacher's day.

Additionally other NCS are permitting the students to dress up as teachers.

We would be grateful if our grievances are heard and any action in favor of students who've entered the last year of schooling is taken, considering it as our once in school life moment which we would cherish.
