The service as it currently operated through Clifton is held up by traffic lights, tram works and speed humps. It follows Green Lane, turns onto Farnborough Road and runs up Southchurch Drive. Following this holds the bus up and makes it virtually impossible to keep to the timetable. If it cannot be relied on to keep to timetable will result in a decline in usage. Rerouting in along Clifton Lane and along Clifton Boulevard to the QMC would enable better timings to be achieved. The disruption to the service will become worse when Green Lane is closed for at least two months for the A453 works will make things worse for the reliability of the service.
