#1272015-04-28 05:57Good cause - the proposed idea has not been thought through properly - it is a poor attempt to treat the symptom of the traffic problem rather than the cause |

#1282015-04-28 09:11I use Lynnwood road every day to commute to my office and back. Currently, the traffic in Lynnwood is hectic during peak hours so it is unthinkable that the current two lanes be reduced to only one lane. |

#1292015-04-28 09:16This unilateral decision by the Council will impact severely on traffic using Lynnwood Road. The Council must be held to honour and implement publicly approved plans - after all, who is paying for this? We the ratepayers! |

#1302015-04-28 09:22Really important, since if successful it will prevent absolute traffic chaos in Lynnwood Road, Pretoria, Gauteng. |

#1322015-04-28 12:42The BRT is very important, but not extensive enough to relieve much of the other traffic on these roads. Build it, but also build more lanes. |

#1332015-04-29 05:05Single car lanes either way is just rediculous with higher density housing, more cars on the road & bad public transport in general. |

#1342015-04-29 05:41I think it is redicullious to make one lane for all the traffic we have, it is a joke |

#1362015-04-29 06:38Poorly thought out plan with no regard for the interests of the residents and ratepayers |

#1372015-04-29 08:58There was absolutely no Impact studies done, the public was not given any opportunity to comment on this ridiculous idea. |

#1402015-04-30 12:09I was born and raised in Pretoria and often visit my father who lives at the far end of the often gridlocked Lynnwood Road. I therefore totally understand the issues involved and what the single lane would imply. |

#1422015-05-03 19:27Because things that work must either work better or be re-evaluated. The plans to reduce an already overstretched road to 1 lane is short sighted and will make things worse for all. Plan thoroughly and improve and do comprehensive traffic impact studies. |

#1432015-05-04 05:15The idea to reduce the lanes for traffic to one in each direction is not well thought through and will have a severe impact on the traffic. And this decision after all the Jakarandas were removed! |

#1442015-05-04 06:14I have to use Lynnwood Road every day to get to work and my son's school |
Guest |
#1452015-05-04 06:36It is already hectic and I think they want to force all of us to use the bus services later. |

#1462015-05-04 09:12Lynwood Road already have a problem with traffic let alone if you take one lane away!!! |
Guest |
#1472015-05-04 10:32I support the expansion of the TRT, however this will require additional lanes to be constructed and not the reduction of existing lanes. |

#1482015-05-04 11:09I am opposing the reduction of lanes on the LIne 2B of the TRT/BRT!!!! |

#1492015-05-05 08:27My family uses the affected routes daily and I can only see this road amendment will cause great traffic constraints and make for even more problems on our highways and main roads in and out of town. This will cost us more time on the road and will cost you many troubles. |

#1502015-05-05 09:38Lynnwood Road will not be able to carry the anticipated load of traffic with only one lane available to the general public. Many road users will furthermore use alternative routes such as Queens Crescent which runs parallel to Lynnwood Rd (this is already happening - especially taxis). Queens Crescent is a road in the residential area of Lynnwood in close proximity to Lynnwood Laerskool and Hoerskool Menlopark and as such carries a lot of scholars both on foot and bicycle, so too domestic workers. Queens Crescent furthermore does not have a pavement. The additional traffic in Queens Crescent will endanger the lives of these scholars and domestic workers, as it typically represents road users in a hurry to get to work. This is especially true of the taxis who have a blatant disregard for other road users. Many joggers also frequent Queens Crescent |
