Me and my wife are teachers we have 2 Kids studying our so'n at nmmu . We are very proud of the university and the staff for the way they are developing our only son that we have in trusted to them for the nurturing of his first steps in adult life . We trust that they will manage this process swiftly and decicve. To the best for those that fall within the code of conduct of the institution towards achieving the goals that was set by the institution in safety.

They should check whether the protestors are all students. Also let the students vote in stead of strike and burn buildings.

My son is currently in his 3rd year, his marks is above average......I can see the frustration in his eyes, and so are a lot of students.....Please, get rid of those protesters, before someone takes this matter in his/her own hands. I am very dissapointed in NMMU !!! ( Why not take action, like Prime Minister, Hage Geingob, did in Namibië ??? )

I do not wish to get into a debate around this issue. I stand for affordable education and bursaries for those deserving. If poor, there should be some assistance from the state. What I am totallyagainst is the empty promises made by those inciting protests, and the violence and destructon which is occurring. Thsi is also a violation of rights.

My son is second year BSC at NMMU and needs to get back to varsity. We have paid our fees is full for the year. Please lets get things baxk to normal.

It is unacceptable behaviour to destroy and vandalise everything to get their own way. My own son is a student at NMMU and are not able to attend classes. Someone must take responsibility and action!!

I am a teacher in a lower income bracket I have paid for my daughter in full . It is unfair that she is punished by a few who are not acting like students who want an education . What about those who have made the sacrifice and have paid ???

Laws and court rulings seem to be ignored with little or no consequences by certain groups. The NMMU situation is just one more example of this trend that is destroying our country.

Because I am a student at NMMU and this is my final year. I had to work hard for my Diploma and had to pay for it with my own money which I was willing to do as this for my future and that of my family.

this is disrupting the current student year and making any years to come questionable. the vandalism causes further monies to be spent on repairing or rebuilding which could be the cause of fees to increase for all... yet its the minority that are causing chaos.

My daughter is a second year student at NMMU. I have had to take loans out to pay for her fees as we dont qualify for any bursaries. I cannot afford for this academic year to be lost. People in SA need to learn that protesting by destroying property and bringing everything to a standstill cannot be tolerated. If the protesters are given their way they will do it again. We cannot give in to this anarchy.

The behaviour and uncontrolled movements of these protests is utterly disgracefull and really selfish! There is no true motive for these later acts. Others that are paying for there school fees, shouldn't be affected at all, they have the right for an education.

Because its pathetic that asmall group of "people " can take away the right and abilitie to study further they dont deserve to be at university, its called higher education for a reason, not free education
