edinburgh council is a disgrace they work against edinburgh needs like fixing the broken slabs and numerous pot holes
Guest#27 Jan 30, 2014, 14:29
PC gone mad!!!! If you are going remove the head you might as well move the rear end from the grass market! Edinburgh needs these quirky additions!
Guest#28 Jan 30, 2014, 14:31
Part of the landscape - leave it where it is!
Guest#29 Jan 30, 2014, 14:33
with all the monstrosities of shop fronts and modern builds in edinburgh city centre, they are really objecting to a cow???? ridiculous
Guest#30 Jan 30, 2014, 14:47
Please sign this x
Ronald McDonald#31 Jan 30, 2014, 14:48

Moove it!!!

The cow should be put to pasture, the buildings are beautiful and this is just a gimmicky eyesore. I guess that's the main reason you need it as your restaurant would fail without it.
Guest#32 Jan 30, 2014, 14:59
What is the harm of the cow!! I hate our city interfering with good work whilst they can't even get themselves together!
Guest#33 Jan 30, 2014, 15:41
Edinburgh council need to get a grip on them selfs never mind abit of fun advertising one word "trams"
Guest#34 Jan 30, 2014, 15:47
Civil servants should stick to what they know. Keep the street lights on and the water flowing.

This is yet another example of petty-minded bureaucracy in action. I have only lived in Edinburgh for a year, so as far as I'm concerned, the cow has ALWAYS been there. I've never seen the building without it.
It spoils NOTHING, but it adds character and charisma to the area.

Please, leave well enough alone and go do something constructive with my taxes.

My mum fell and broke her nose on an uneven paving slab FIVE years ago on George Street. It's still there.

Edinburgh council at ther best. The cow is hardly causing any problems.....the tram works however have been an eyesore and embarrasment to the people of Edinburgh for some time now!
Guest#36 Jan 30, 2014, 16:11
It's a landmark for locals and people from outside Edinburgh and should be left alone
Guest#37 Jan 30, 2014, 16:14
Lighten up you Burghers!!!
Guest#38 Jan 30, 2014, 16:18
Why can't these people get a hobby? Or do some real work?!
Guest#39 Jan 30, 2014, 16:32
It's a very tasteful cow. If the Council want to improve the appearance of the cIty centre they need to do something about the hideous concrete shops and offices on Princes Street
Guest#40 Jan 30, 2014, 16:43
Leave the cow alone!
At least it arrived on time and is fully visible. More than can be said for the white elephants on rails, due to be trundling nearby sometime, maybe, then again, maybe not, soon.
Guest#41 Jan 30, 2014, 16:44
Save the cow.
Bo Vine#42 Jan 30, 2014, 16:48

moove on....nothing to see here

Is this not the same council that had the cow exhibition not that long ago, with colourful bovine beasts at all major city landmarks? Pull the udder one. Surely there must be pencils to be bought or other important matters !!!
Guest#43 Jan 30, 2014, 17:56
It's the sign of good Beef !
Guest#44 Jan 30, 2014, 18:17
Once again Edinburgh City Council seems to be more interested in unimportant Factors rather than concentrating on 'serious concerns' such as Repairing pot-holed streets etc.!!!
Guest#45 Jan 30, 2014, 18:23
MOOOOOOOO.
Guest#46 Jan 30, 2014, 18:24
We love eating here, every time we visit Edinburgh.. The Cow is an 'icon' , it should stay !
Guest#47 Jan 30, 2014, 18:37
When you see what monstrosities the council does grant planning permission for, it is quite astonishing that they are gunning for the cow.
Guest#48 Jan 30, 2014, 18:38
there nothing wrong with the cow, leave it alone.the town is so nice, try & get the trams running. you should try living in belfast were you cant fly the flag of the country

Re: Moove it!!!

#31: Ronald McDonald - Moove it!!!

A bit rich from someone who signs himself Ronald McDonald. Now there's an eyesore!

Guest#50 Jan 30, 2014, 19:22
Not surprising that it's taken the council 2 years to notice the cow is even there!
