Uneven Road Surface Repair - Browning and Scott Street Junction

We, the undersigned, residents of Browning and Scott Street area, are concerned about the loud noise and vibrations created by cars and trucks as they pass the junction of Browning/Scott Street. This commotion occasionally shakes houses violently, particularly when vehicles pulling trailers pass over an uneven road surface near the pedestrian crossing. Such is the noise at times too that it starts dogs barking, which can upset neighbours – particularly during the night.

A previous complaint about this noise was investigated by Council before the installation of fibre optics along Browning/Scott Street, with the promise that the situation would be addressed after fibre optics completion. Action has yet to be taken.

We call upon the Council to:

1) Repair the uneven road surface near the pedestrian crossing at the junction of Browning/Scott Street (not quickly seal this surface so that the first downpour of rain dislodges the fill-in).

2) Investigate as to whether the road in the area needs strengthening to give a more permanent solution.
