Footpath for Kyle Road, Schnapper Rock, 人行道, 보행자 도로
We need children to be safe. We need a footpath along the whole length of Kyle Road. It’s the only vehicle access to Upper Harbour Primary School and busy traffic makes it too dangerous for pedestrians. It’s a serious health & safety risk. Auckland Transport wants more children to walk to school but this can’t happen without a safe footpath. We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to build a full footpath along Kyle Road. 我们需要确保我们的孩子的安全。我们需要整个Kyle Road都有

Crush the Quarry Featherston - Stop the Rock Crushing Onsite!
The quarry approved for Featherston and already started is just 3.8km away from our main street on Underhill Road. When we factor in wind, the quarry dust (and potentially damaging silica) has the ability to reach the township. The quarry also has devastating environmental aspects. The Quarry is approved (for now), so as a community we have the chance to stop the crushing on-site and ugly stock piling. Keep your kids breathing clean air. Be able to hang out your laundry and open the window

State highway 35 users against the speed restrictions that come into force on the 8th September 2020.
We are opposed to the permanent speed restrictions, from Pouawa to Okitu (100km/hr down to 80km/h), and the seasonal speed limit being reduced to 60km/hr. We want the speed limit left at the current level, instead other safety measures should be looked at. We believe that the speed reductions will further isolate the East Coast communitys, and only add to fatigue for all road users.

Retain STV (Single Transferrable Vote) as the voting system for Dunedin City Council Mayoral and Councillor Elections
First up...If you're going to share this on Facebook PLEASE sign it too - Thanks! A vocal minority, unhappy that their choice for mayor did not get elected, wish to push through a change back to an FPP (first past the post) system, in a thinly veiled attempt to get Dunedin's most divisive councillor in modern times elected as a minority mayor! A petition has been created by their supporters and it felt appropriate to 'balance the scales' Why FPP is undemocratic, and STV is a much better system:

Bring Mock Exams and Study Leave Back
The decision to cancel mock examinations and study leave at Westlake Girls High School was one made without the input of the student body- the people that this decision effects the most. The value of practice examinations and study leave is monumentally more than that of only two more weeks of teaching time. This decision should be altered if the student body wishes it so. In this current climate, where there is so much uncertainty having our practice examinations is vital. Considering that man

SeaLink continued services to Port Fitzroy, Great Barrier Island
The residents of Port Fitzroy and the surrounding areas of north Great Barrier Island have been formally informed by the North Barrier Residents and Ratepayers Association that after Easter 2020 SeaLink will no longer bring freight or passengers to the Port Fitzroy Wharf. If SeaLink discontinues passenger and freight services to Port Fitzroy and makes Tryphena the only stop on Great Barrier Island, our northern Barrier communities will suffer both personally and financially. In fact, it has th
