Allow Essential Maintenance of Golf Courses During Lockdown Period
MBIE have determined that golf course turf maintenance is not an essential service during the Covid-19 lockdown period. If critical parts of any golf course (namely putting greens) do not receive basic maintenance over the shutdown period, the task of restoring the greens to required standards/conditions may not be achievable or affordable for many golf clubs. The long term financial impacts for these clubs, and consequently for the many NZ’ers who enjoy the game, will be far reaching. Please

New Zealand Flower Farmers deserve fairer treatment and consideration. Support contactless deliveries for cut flowers through level 3 and 4 Delta lockdown.
Our local cut flower growing industry is sinking fast! From small family farms to larger operations, all have been forced to destroy a heartbreaking amount of their beautiful blooms. Listen to Ella Stewarts report on our industry with Aila and Christy and the way this has affected their production and a possi

Save the 29 trees lining Ladies Mile Highway, Queenstown, NZ
Please sign this petition to save the 29 trees lining Ladies Mile Highway in Queenstown from being cut down. The Delta Power Company says they need to be cut down as they are growing in to overhead powerlines. Surely there is a better solution to this such as moving the lines or putting them underground. The trees create one of the most elegant approaches to any town in New Zealand. Click to read the news article: http://www.odt.co.nz/source/mountain-scene/372038/cutting-trees-would-be-crass-

Say no to alcohol next to Southern Cross Campus
In their stupidity, the goons at the Auckland District Licensing Committee have approved a new liquor shop directly opposite a large South Auckland school – the Southern Cross Campus. They approved it despite huge opposition from the community, the school, central and local-body politicians, the Medical Officer of Health and various community groups. The Campus educates pupils from year 1-13 – more than 1500 students attend the school. The new Thirsty Liquor shop will be directly opposite the sc

Save our Centre! Government funding essential to keep classes running for disabled children in Taranaki.
Conductive Education Taranaki has provided highly valued specialised sessions for kids with disablilites since 2017 without Ministry of Health funding. Conductive Education has been part of New Zealand for over 25 years, with existing providers receiving Government funding. Centres in Auckland, Waikato, Wellington and Christchurch all hold Child Development Services contracts to support their service delivery. We have to raise it all ourselves through exposure, events and activities! Enough i

Petition to remove Hillary Barry from our air waves
Hillary Barry is publicly announcing that we should discriminate and bully each other based on people's personal choices. She is an advocate for Standing up against Bullies yet uses the TV show Seven Sharp on TV1 to tell others to divide the community and to discriminate. Don't let this troll on our air waves anymore.
