Restore School Board Democracy: A Call for the Resignation of Unelected Chair Terry Sage

We the undersigned parents of Ngunguru School seek the resignation of the current Ngunguru School Board of Trustees Chairperson, Terry Sage. We petition that he stand down immediately following the by-election currently estimated to occur in August of 2021.  While we the parents appreciate Mr. Sage’s many years of service, we are deeply unsettled and concerned by the recent resignation of half of the school’s board and all but one of the elected parent representatives. When he stood for ele

We do NOT want Nelson Council to proceed with the planned new library

We do NOT want the Nelson Council to proceed with the planned new library. We do NOT want or need a new library. And we do NOT want the rates rise associated with this planned new library, or any large rates rises. We demand that the Council focus spending on the current needs in Nelson. We are facing climate change with increasingly violent storms, more and bigger wild-fires, increasingly worse flooding; the real possibility according to the latest scientists of Covid getting into NZ; we have t

Wellsford Town Pavers a Health and Safety Hazard

The Wellsford main street pavers have caused an issue for both young and old - thethe slippery, uneven surface has caused many people to slip and trip and, in many cases, causing injuries - some serious.Yesterday I went in front of the Rodney Council Board and presented the petition which has gone really well however, we now need to go in front of the Auckland Transport Board, so we need your support, and signing the petition is a great start.  Thank you to those who have already signed but pleas

Share the stop zones or Create more designated stops for Rideshare drivers!!

Because there are a lot of essential ways for a passenger to travel around, there’s Uber X & Ola cabs that are very popular as well as convenient with having the App to respond to & usually within 5-15mins you have service. Part of the convenience though is unfortunately not so convenient when it comes to picking or dropping a passenger. I myself have been working for Uber since August 2018, joined Uber X in July this year then Ola cabs 3weeks ago. During these times of being a busy taxi

Reconsider the proposed changes to the Lower Hutt Rubbish and Recycling

This petition is to show public support for a reassesment of the proposed rubbish and recycling scheme. The newly proposed scheme penalises concious consumers who make efforts to create less wastte, is unsuitable for pensioners and properties with low numbers. There are too few options with a 'pay as you throw' option sorely lacking. The council also have no good options for assisting the elderly or those with long driveways. We as the ratepayers are not happy and would like the council to readd

Re-establishing the Waikiwi BMX Track

Myers Reserve in North Invercargill Waikiwi features some BMX ramps and the skeletons of an old BMX Track.  The track was used and enjoyed by kids around the area in the 80's and 90's. Unfortunately over time it has grown grass and the old ramps need some repairs. The Invercargill City Council have not had a lot of Public interest or community support for getting this BMX track back up and running.  I know it was loved by many and could be enjoyed my many kids and families in the future if it wa

Let annual hire's of the Auckland Council venues have priority

This petition is to try and get the council to allow for loyal and annual customers and clubs to have a reserved spot in the venue they have been in for so long. One example is the club that I have been part of for the last 12 years. Titirangi Taekwondo is a long time club based in the Titirangi war memorial hall. This club has been at this same venue for over 30 years, providing activity, self defense, discipline and so much more to the community. The instructor of Titirangi Taekwondo has coach
