Allow Essential Maintenance of Golf Courses During Lockdown Period

MBIE have determined that golf course turf maintenance is not an essential service during the Covid-19 lockdown period. If critical parts of any golf course (namely putting greens) do not receive basic maintenance over the shutdown period, the task of restoring the greens to required standards/conditions may not be achievable or affordable for many golf clubs. The long term financial impacts for these clubs, and consequently for the many NZ’ers who enjoy the game, will be far reaching.   Please

A vote of no confidence in the Mayor and Several councillors of the DCC

I have started this petition which will be presented to the Minister for Local Government. The Mayor and several councillors have pushed through policies  with little or no public consultation, the latest being the change of speed to 10kmh in the CBD .This was done by the Mayor using the Covid 19 argument it will be better for the public and reduce the risk of infection . This happened within a matter of days and the signs were already printed before the vote at council was done. This was also do

Save our Centre! Government funding essential to keep classes running for disabled children in Taranaki.

Conductive Education Taranaki has provided highly valued specialised sessions for kids with disablilites since 2017 without Ministry of Health funding.   Conductive Education has been part of New Zealand for over 25 years, with existing providers receiving Government funding. Centres in Auckland, Waikato, Wellington and Christchurch all hold Child Development Services contracts to support their service delivery.  We have to raise it all ourselves through exposure, events and activities! Preserve the Eskdale Park in the Esk Valley Napier

Petition summary: The HB Mountain Bike Club and the Hastings District Council have put forth a proposal to develop the Eskdale Park into a mountain bike hub with further future plans of development. This will take the direction of the Eskdale Park away from being the beautiful natural green country park it is currently. The Eskdale Park is the only country park in the Esk Valley area. It deserves to be protected and set up as a natural reserve and green space for families to enjoy both now and i

Re-open the sale yards

COVID-19 shut down our sale yards but now we desperately need to have these re-opened, particularly in areas like Hawke's Bay where severe drought is having a major impact. Hawke's Bay farmers are currently facing what may be the worst drought in history, and the situation is compounded by the loss of the sale yards - an avenue of selling that the majority of farmers know well and have ultilised in the past. Other regions are also under significant feed pressure and would benefit from sale yards

Footpath for Kyle Road, Schnapper Rock, 人行道, 보행자 도로

We need children to be safe. We need a footpath along the whole length of Kyle Road. It’s the only vehicle access to Upper Harbour Primary School and busy traffic makes it too dangerous for pedestrians. It’s a serious health & safety risk. Auckland Transport wants more children to walk to school but this can’t happen without a safe footpath. We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to build a full footpath along Kyle Road.   我们需要确保我们的孩子的安全。我们需要整个Kyle Road都有

Mangere Bridge Carpark entrance closure.

Do you agree that closure of the main entrance to the Mangere Bridge shops carpark has not been well considered nor widely consulted on and will be detrimental to local small businesses and traffic movement including delivery vehicles in the area and place pedestrians in increased conflict with traffic from the new smaller proposed entrance. If you are in agreement please sign this petition.

Partial refund to international and domestic students studying in Aotearoa

International students have been promised an unforgettable experience and limitless opportunities in New Zealand Universities. We have been paying 3-4 times more than domestic students to get the full New Zealand educational experience. Due to COVID-19 Universities have decided to put the rest of the term online. Which lacks on experience and the wide range of opportunities that we have been promised e.g. Lab practicses, Internships, many more.. A partial refund of the thousands of NZD we have p

We the residents of Ngunguru and the Tutukaka Coast petition the Whangarei District Council and Roading NZ to develop and establish pedestrian zebra crossings at 1983 Ngunguru Road as well as at the intersection of Ngunguru Road and Shoebridge Crescent.  These two crossing points already receive a large amount of pedestrian traffic, particularly at the start and end of the primary school day and require signage and a pedestrian right of way for the safety of our children and community members. This petition is to show support for the naming of the NorthConnex Tunnel after Jim Adams who lost his life during the construction of the tunnel on May 23rd 2017. To name this tunnel after a well respected man is a small token of appreciation for both the memory of Jim and his family.

Appeal to reunite team of 5 million

Dear Rt hon Jacinda Ardern, Rt hon Kris Faafoi, First of all we all Migrants would like to congratulate you on the victory win in 2020 elections. As you may be aware that there are many migrants stuck offshore due to border closure. It is our request to you to look at this issue with the urgency these kiwis deserve as a part of our team of 5 million. Many migrants have been left helpless by not having any communication from New Zealand Immigration. Especially those who are stuck offshore. These

Waikato Cherry Tree Festival Sep 2020

Target Waikato District Council Preamble We have trespassers to thank for the Waikato Cherry Tree Festival. The desperateness of people to get amongst the cherry blossoms made us want to share this beautiful place with the local community and people. Anne and I (Paul) thought it would be great idea to arrange various multicultural performances and get the community together to celebrate spring. The first year was 2017 and we had a great response from the community. We sold our allowed maximum of

TE WIWI NĀTI HAPŪ CLUSTER PETITION: THE ROAD

Our road from and between the Kaiinanga Hill to the end of the Tikapa and Awanui Roads is often unsafe and inaccessible, especially in the wet months.   Whānau still live in that valley, and people travel in and out daily for work, for school, or to visit other whānau. We are often not able to attend our marae hui. The Ambulance and Fire Services often can't attend emergencies there.   We are asking that the Gisborne District Council repair the road.  No more short-term patch-ups.   We need our

Safer streets with safer lighting

The above picture is Allen Bell Bridge at 6.15am. One of many bridges with insufficient lighting & unsafe footpaths due to lack of lighting which is hazardous. We as a community should be able to walk our streets safely, day and night without fear! Township streets should not be restricted because of the lack of street lighting. Recently I was approached and stalked by a person in a dark area which left me shaken and afraid. I’ve reported the incident to the police and have brought this upon

Localised Hunting

Under New Covid-19 level 3 guidelines you are allowed to travel within your region for essential purpose, go for day walks, surfing, bike riding and fishing, all of which you need to be experienced. I write on request that localised hunting is reconsidered for experienced hunters. This is how we exercise our working dogs, exercise ourselves, keep our freezers full for our families, bonding time with our family bubble and general well being. In these hard economic times sourcing our own meat is e

Instalment of an enclosed dog park in Upper Hutt

As a Upper Hutt resident I would like to get the council to put in an enclosed dog exercise area. Currently I have to travel to Plimmerton or Wellington to access one.   An enclosed dog exercise area would be a great space to socialise dogs and exercise them off leash safely.

State highway 35 users against the speed restrictions that come into force on the 8th September 2020.

We are opposed to the permanent speed restrictions, from Pouawa to Okitu (100km/hr down to 80km/h), and the seasonal speed limit being reduced to 60km/hr. We want the speed limit left at the current level, instead other safety measures should be looked at. We believe that the speed reductions will further isolate the East Coast communitys, and only add to fatigue for all road users.

Keep our kiwi right to sustainably harvest wild food

Below is one example of a politically correct and illogical regulation that is going to prevent average kiwis from eating from the wild.  Stop this encroachment on our right to responsibly feed ourselves; Because Sea Shepherd have launched a legal challenge in the USA to ban NZ fish exports to the USA (worth about NZ$200 million), the Government is introducing a set net ban out to 4 nautical miles in the Golden Bay and Tasman Bay regions to prove it is protecting dolphins when; 1. Retain STV (Single Transferrable Vote) as the voting system for Dunedin City Council Mayoral and Councillor Elections

First up...If you're going to share this on Facebook PLEASE sign it too - Thanks! A vocal minority, unhappy that their choice for mayor did not get elected, wish to push through a change back to an FPP (first past the post) system, in a thinly veiled attempt to get Dunedin's most divisive councillor in modern times elected as a minority mayor! A petition has been created by their supporters and it felt appropriate to 'balance the scales' Why FPP is undemocratic, and STV is a much better system:
