PLEASE support HEALTH PROFESSIONALS to be allowed to wear INNOVATIVE PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)!

We as HEALTH PROFESSIONALS are currently risking our lives to serve the sick. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) funded  by the New Zealand Ministry of Health (NZMoH) and supplied by District Health Boards (DHBs) is precious and exhaustive in quantity. As HEALTH PROFESSIONALS we would like the opportunity to protect ourselves by being permitted to wear INNOVATIVE PPE (e.g. homemade facemasks, etc.). Health Consumers may also benefit when being cared for by Health Professionals. The ULTIMATE GOA

Pay increase for Supermarket workers during pandemic

Supermarkets are making an enormous profit from the Covid-pandemic because of the surge of panic buyers this year.  New Zealand has decided to declare a stage 4 lockdown; meaning all nonessential businesses will close for at least 4 weeks. Sadly, supermarket workers (some as young as 15) must continue to work day and night, while putting their own safety and health at risk during this lockdown period.  It's only fair to encourage these high profitable supermarket's to pay the 'essential workers'

Make the rubbish bins bigger

This is mainly directed towards those who already dislike the new rubbish system in the Waikato. The council is refusing to listen to the peoples complaints, so action muct be taken.   The new rubbish bin system in the Waikato is flawed and doesn't take into consideration that bigger families need more space. The recycling bin is bigger than the rubbish, which doesn't help bigger families or families that use disposable nappies. The scrap bin smells terrible and will require constant and continu

Take away the parking spaces on Newton Road

The parking spaces on Newton Road are causing unnecessary traffic congestion throughout the day. (Newton Road runs between Symonds Street and the motorway) We are asking for the parking spots to be removed permanently to be in line with the rest of this arterial route running from Khyber Pass to Ponsonby Road. As the number of these spots are low (approx 10) and are short term parks (most 30 minutes), they can be easily relocated, replaced or embedded behind the curb line. The intended outcome i

NO COUNTRY FOR ELITE/SEXIST/RACIST WHITE MEN

National MP, Paul Goldsmith, is an inadequate representive for our parliament and our people.  I believe he should apologise or resign - ideally both. Paul is a descendant of Charles George Goldsmith, a migrant from Liverpool who settled in the East cape area early in New Zealand's colonial history. Charles Goldsmith had four wives—two Māori (Ngāti Porou), and two pākehā—fathering 16 children. However Goldsmith has clarified that he is not himself of Māori descent, in fact, despite his Auckland

Financial Support for Temporary Visa Holders in Australia - COVID 19

Due to the covid-19 pandemic a lot of temporary visa holders in Australia (visitor visas, student visas, 482 visa holders, working holiday visas), have been left unemployed and stranded in Australia. So far, The Australian Government has done nothing to support temporary visa holders in Australia. It has not provided a clear indication of what, if any financial support will be provided. Temporary visa holders need help and we request the Australian Government provide a clear answer to them.   We

New DJ for the Thirsty Whale

I'm sure everyone's getting a bit over wanting to spend their Saturdays going to the one club in napier just to awkwardly dance to timber by ke$ha on repeat. So while they've decided to close down for a few weeks hopefully they can spend some time looking for a new DJ or making a new playlist. LET'S MAKE A CHANGE FOR THE BETTER sign my petition if you think thirsty whale should fire the DJ and play some bangers.

The Removal of The GST Tax on Sanitary Products

Everyday women are being forced to pay tax sanitary products which are essential items that we need but is still being treated as a luxury good. In an article, social services secretary Pam Waugh stated that she has "...heard of them rolling up newspaper; putting it inside socks; we've heard them using old sanitary pads that they've washed or recycled; and we've also heard about them using leaves and newspapers just so that they can actually function well." On average, a women "....has her perio
