Name the NorthConnex Tunnel after Jim Adams.

This petition is to show support for the naming of the NorthConnex Tunnel after Jim Adams who lost his life during the construction of the tunnel on May 23rd 2017. To name this tunnel after a well respected man is a small token of appreciation for both the memory of Jim and his family.

PLEASE support HEALTH PROFESSIONALS to be allowed to wear INNOVATIVE PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)!

We as HEALTH PROFESSIONALS are currently risking our lives to serve the sick. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) funded  by the New Zealand Ministry of Health (NZMoH) and supplied by District Health Boards (DHBs) is precious and exhaustive in quantity. As HEALTH PROFESSIONALS we would like the opportunity to protect ourselves by being permitted to wear INNOVATIVE PPE (e.g. homemade facemasks, etc.). Health Consumers may also benefit when being cared for by Health Professionals. The ULTIMATE GOA

Let butchers open during the lockdown

Many people including myself buy their meat at independent butchers rather than the supermarket. Now the butchers have been told they have to close as they are 'non-essential'.  We, the signers of this petition, disagree. It is unfair and makes no sense. A dairy and a greengrocer can open but a butcher next door cannot. Supermarkets shouldn't be given a monopoly on the sale of meat. Financial Support for Temporary Visa Holders in Australia - COVID 19

Due to the covid-19 pandemic a lot of temporary visa holders in Australia (visitor visas, student visas, 482 visa holders, working holiday visas), have been left unemployed and stranded in Australia. So far, The Australian Government has done nothing to support temporary visa holders in Australia. It has not provided a clear indication of what, if any financial support will be provided. Temporary visa holders need help and we request the Australian Government provide a clear answer to them.   We

Let people buy computers during lockdown

Many people that now find themselves in lockdown could work much more efficiently if they were given the opportunity to setup their homes properly. Most families are unprepared and because of this inefficient or even totally unproductive. The reality in most families is that they have only one home computer or in poorer families no computer. This computer is normally setup for games and not very useful for home office or online studies. Now one or two of the parents in a normal family are trying

Call for more free minutes for NZers during the COVID-19 lock down

I think it’s time for the Telco corporations operating in NZ (Vodafone, Spark, Skinny, etc) to put their profits where their customers are and provide more free minutes to NZers during the COVID-19 lock down. Facetime is free, but many of our grandparents, uncles, aunties and great-grandparents don’t have smart phones to utilise this technology.  For the mental health of the country, I emplore these organisations to consider providing more free minutes to landlines/mobiles so we can keep in touc

Pay increase for Supermarket workers during pandemic

Supermarkets are making an enormous profit from the Covid-pandemic because of the surge of panic buyers this year.  New Zealand has decided to declare a stage 4 lockdown; meaning all nonessential businesses will close for at least 4 weeks. Sadly, supermarket workers (some as young as 15) must continue to work day and night, while putting their own safety and health at risk during this lockdown period.  It's only fair to encourage these high profitable supermarket's to pay the 'essential workers'

New DJ for the Thirsty Whale

I'm sure everyone's getting a bit over wanting to spend their Saturdays going to the one club in napier just to awkwardly dance to timber by ke$ha on repeat. So while they've decided to close down for a few weeks hopefully they can spend some time looking for a new DJ or making a new playlist. LET'S MAKE A CHANGE FOR THE BETTER sign my petition if you think thirsty whale should fire the DJ and play some bangers.

Close Rangitoto College for a while for the safety of the students

Rangitoto has more then 3,000 kids, with lots of them coughing and some who are sick can't stay home because of internals and tests that are going on.Since it's the largest school in NZ there are many interactions that happen daily.Us as students who attend Rangitoto College want an extended holiday and for school to finish later than it would've.So that would mean how ever many weeks we have off now we do again in the December/January holidays.

SeaLink continued services to Port Fitzroy, Great Barrier Island

The residents of Port Fitzroy and the surrounding areas of north Great Barrier Island have been formally informed by the North Barrier Residents and Ratepayers Association that after Easter 2020 SeaLink will no longer bring freight or passengers to the Port Fitzroy Wharf. If SeaLink discontinues  passenger and freight services to Port Fitzroy and makes Tryphena the only stop on Great Barrier Island, our northern Barrier communities will suffer both personally and financially.  In fact, it has th
