I love this country from the first time I visited here many years ago. My mum moved and now lives here also, and I'm hoping to follow suit. By studying a carpentry course in Perth, I hope I can help keep Australias' economy strong and make a wonderful life for myself out here. It's a brilliant country, lets keep it that way.

I am on a 457 visa and was made redundant as a chef 2 days prior to the lockdown, giving that I have 2 months to find a new sponsor and I won’t find a chef job this seems a bit unfair to be left in a situation of not being able to get a new sponsor because a government ruling and also not receive support after paying investing money in the visa as well

I'm in Australia on a working holiday visa and lost my job and can't go back home. For all the hard work and paying taxes like everyone else I think we should be treated like everyone else and get welfare and support from Australian country

I know some amazing, kind, honest, hard working, philanthropic people who are currently studying their 3rd degree in primary education and is working and thriving in Australia. Stop the visa holder paying tax until the rest of the world comes out of this horrific pandemic. My cousin would give her life and soul to the children she teaches, your children. You can Australia's children. The least you can do for her and for every other hard working Briton that has a visa and is not allowed to come home to see their family during this time without their visa being cancelled and can't afford to pay the tax on it because no one is able to work.

I am studying a Mastercourse at UQ as a full time student. I spent a lot of money on enrollment. But we just have been watching online courses only, even if there are different needs from each courses. I mean all the plans cancelled, so we can't learn a certain knowledge anymore. And I saw a lot of students lost their jobs recently. But there is no supplement. Some of them just gave up their courses and are trying to come back to their countrie and never come back. I think Australian government should listen to international students' voice before all the international students find alternatives.

Because I am in the position where I am left without a job, no income, running out of savings (that I worked tirelessly to make doing the compulsory regional work forced upon to me), my visa is running out and I am stuck in a country that is making very little effort to support the exact community that is the backbone to the agriculture and food industry that feeds the Australian population. We are not looking for a lot, just the public acknowledgment that they are looking into viable options for those who are still in the country, whether it be a visa extension (3-6 month) with no working restrictions and some sort of financial support that can see us (the community) pay rent and buy food for the next week. Even giving the travelling community the same early access to their own superannuation account as their Australian citizens counterparts (with NO 65% backpackers tax - we need this money more than ever). These are difficult times and I understand there are difficult choices ahead but I hope the Aus government owes us at least the courtesy of looking into some of these options like the ones above.
