Napierville Electricity
We the undersigning interested and affected residents of Napierville request that the Msunduzi Municipality investigate, upgrade and maintain our ongoing electricity failures in the Suburb of Napierville, Pietermaritzburg.
We request the following to be Investigated and resolved:
1. The ongoing trips at Aalwyn/Arum Substation caused by an overload on the Network and Illegal Connections. - We the residents of Napierville would like our electricity supply to be separate from Peacvalley 3, like it was done for Blackridge and Mpumuza.......its alleged that the overload on our electricty infrastructure is caused because of Peacevalley 3 an informal settlement being connected to us within the last 4 years, it must be investigated and in the interim we want non payers/illegal connectections to be disconnected immediately to remedy the overload situation.
2. The ongoing trips at the Prince Alfred Primary Substation that affects the Whole of Napierville & Surrounding areas.
3. The lack of Communication and turnaround when these faults occur.
4. The irregular Loadshedding that is occurring in Napierville or possible Load Reduction without communication or explanation
5. That possible alternative supply from Mason Mill be restored, or any other option, to ensure independent and constant load is prioritized without ongoing interruption.
6. That the New Prison/Fort Napier Hospital are not compromised due to the regular and prolonged outages that continue to burden these facilities, especially being high risk departments.
