I'm signing this because flower farmers should be able to sell their flowers contactless during L4. They also out alotnof time and effort into growing these plants and they deserve to be able to continue to make a wage during this difficult time.

Tracy de Souza (Whangarei , 2021-09-12)

My friend owns a flower farm and it is wrong that she has to destroy her flowers when people could be buying and enjoying them in Level 4.

Jenny Holmes (Auckland, 2021-09-12)

We have to support all small businesses as best we can!

Emma Clifton (Auckland, 2021-09-12)

Flowers are essential! I’ve had fresh made pastries, birthday cakes and a range of other items delivered right to my door. If they’re essential - why aren’t flowers? Flowers are also perishable and therefore can’t be saved for another day (with exception of a few varieties for drying). Thousands of $ in lost revenue and thousands of people without flowers (I would argue they’re pretty great for lockdown mental health too!)

Hannan Munroe (Auckland , 2021-09-12)

#3498

Flower delivery is no different than booze, bakery or couriers

Franchelle Schofield (Whangaparaoa, 2021-09-12)

#3500

Flowers are an easy way to boost the well-being of ourselves and other during hard times. if the flower industry is sinking there must be a way we can support this industry while also uplifting each other during COVID.

Therese Fatu (Wellington, 2021-09-12)

#3502

I’m signing because it these dark times people need to have flowers to brighten there day. Spring is a busy time for flower growers it would be a shame for all there hard work to go to waste unnecessarily. Everyone is already struggling to get back from last year’s lockdown so it could be devastating to the industry.

Sean Wilson (Auckland , 2021-09-12)

Flowers bring the joy people need through challenging times like these. For those going through even more challenging times or times to celebrate it is a meaningful way to show people we care when we cannot be there in person. It ensures essential flower growers and businesses can keep going as well. The current rules also meant fields of Daffodils went to waste this Daffodil Day meaning lost revenue for the growers and the essential Cancer Society from the donations they could have still raised.

Flowers should be sold in level 4 due to all of the hard work that goes into growing the flowers. If a bakery can be selling cupcakes or doughnuts flowers should be sold to keep small businesses going. A
