The current state of the main access road leaves O'Reilly's vulnerable to being completely cut off in the event of further landslides.

Quicker access for Beaudesert residents to potential employment is a main concern.
So too is the loss of a fantastic scenic drive through wonderful forest.
The historical aspect of the road and what it represents is very special too.

I value this region and the benefits this access provides to the local community and the broader public sector. It is necessary infrastructure for many more reasons if not simply for safety.

I'm signing because I love the Lamington National Park and would love to drive this scenic road myself one day. I have worked at the Retreat for a bit and was never able to see Duck Creek Road.
And if it's opening more employment opportunities, even better!

We would love to experience the road and scenery again!

Duck Creek is an essential connector for the people of the valley and those on the Range. It provides an economic stimulus and it reduces risk during increasingly likely bush fires.

This is a great alternative to those trying to access O’Reilys

The road is desperately needed to improve access to Lamington Narional Tourist Park and make it easier for people travelling from the Scenic Rim.

I believe this section of road is not only useful to locals, it’s an iconic stretch of road for anyone.

This backroad up to the Orielly's resort /Eagle Rock / Moran’s Falls/ Lamington et al was for so long one of the key “exciting” elements of this wonderful tourist destination experience … and it’s decay has significantly reduced the value of this national park asset. It would be so sad if the Scenic Rim Council couldn’t find it in their budget (and vision) scope to restore this unique trail. IMHO it is important that future generations of tourists (local and international) are given the opportunity to relish in an off-road journey to get to Lamington and experience the wonderment of this beautiful national park asset.

I’m signing because I believe the road is a vital piece of infrastructure that contributes to the social, economic and environmental vitality of the Scenic Rim.

We always were happy to donate $ to go towards the upkeep of the road when we went. Love taking our children this way as is educational and good to get out in the fresh air.

I'm signing because of the better management of this area that is facilitated by access via the road. Additionally, I am concerned that others have lost employment opportunities on the mountain (what was a 30 minute trip is now 2 ½ hours); and that workers and bush walkers on O’Reilly’s and Green Mountain in the event of a fire or landslide would not be easily rescued there is a reliance on one remaining road.

I have used this road before and it is a very quick and scenic way to reach Lamington Plateau.

As a regular user of the mountain, I believe the benefit to having it open is greater then closed.
Prior to TC Debbie it was open and should be reinstated.

It's a great road for tourism.

This is an easy trail within a day trip of Brisbane.
It is super scenic and should be enjoyed by all ages.
