IMT students request for cancellation of exams for 2nd Semester

Honourable Management ,

We really appreciate your decision of exam from home . But please be informed and consider the following problems which many of us are facing. As we all know the whole world is facing Covid-19 pandemic situation . Due to which many students are staying in red zones ( Containment areas) where they could hardly get essential food and medical supplies.  

During all this , it will not be possible for us to arrange for webcams, mices or any other hardware for examination purpose . Also many of us doesn't have high speed broadband or Wi-Fi connections . Only essential services are being provided in such red containment areas . It would be hardly possible for us to arrange the requirements prescribed by you for appearing for the exams from home . 

Also many of us are away from our work cities and we left our laptops at our places when we came home assuming that the lockdown will not last for too long . We are hardly getting any income and it will be a really huge burden to purchase any of these devices at this time .

Many areas are facing the problems of frequent electricity cuts and breakage of electric as well as wifi lines and due to the risk of virus , the engineers and linemen are not able to reach them out and repair them . 

All this will lead to a huge problem in attending the exams . Clearing them is a far thing . We all are scared that this will put a really adverse effect on our grade sheets which could highly effect our careers and future.  

Many other universities are promoting the students on the basis of assignments or previous result due to this extra ordinary panedemic situation .

We request you to understand our situations in this panademic and co-operate with the rules by promoting the students of 2nd semester . 

We are getting it e-signed by the students as this is a collective request of all .

Kindly consider this and take necessary steps in favour of IMT students and support them in this difficult time like many other universities did the same by promoting the students except the ones appearing for final year exams in order to maitain a feeling of togetherness among the management and the students.
