why we are spending $16b a year to feed the prisoners? Make them work hard in the farms to feed themself.

Yearly, Australia spends $16b for Prisons, each prisoner costs us $110,000 and double that amount for juveniles. Compared to America who are spending only $43,000 per prisoner per year. People are comparing prisons in Australia to be hotel-like, with prisoners well fed and looked after with medical care 24 hours a day. Why wouldn't they try their luck committing the crimes and get caught? Being looked after in "jail" is still much better then sleeping hungry under bridges. The current jailing systems create this trend and the Goverment will have to build more jails as they are all now full.

We are asking the Goverment to consider the prison module in South Carolina (working Prison Farms). Let them grow what they eat and of course it is only for the non-dangerous criminals. For lighter crimes, don't send them to jail but make them pay fines accordingly. For the juveniles send them into Working Camps by their parents' money. For the rapists, don't send them into jails but Home Program, make them pay for injections to reduce the Testosterone (Leuprorelin or Protrap) or Chemical castration. The idea of reducing or destroying their sexual ability has always provoked fierce objections on the ground of LIBERTIES but a child's right to protection is far more morally important then the freedom of Paedophiles.

Feel for the victims and their families, don't be a hyprocrite, wait until you are a victim and see. For the jail terms, it should be unlimited, it should only be based on the level of the prisoner's rehabilitation not the jail term. You just cannot release an unrehabilitated crook back into the community. We demand the prisons must be a place to punish and scare the crooks, not to give them human rights and treat them with dignity as they have lost them all ever since they have committed the crimes.

I will refuse to pay tax if the Goverment fails to listen to our concerns. Fail to address this problem, we will be left in big debt and running out of money for other essential services like Hospitals, Schools, Social Security and others.

Do it for our Children. !!!!
