Petition for immediate works to be completed to resolve dangerous junction (Offenham Road / The Parks)

Maple Gardens in Evesham, is a housing development  built by Redrow Homes and has now been occupied for over 4 years.  At the planning stage, access to Offenham Road from the estate was identified as potentially dangerous. Planning consent was made conditionally with the highway authority of Worcestershire County Council insisting the matter be addressed by the developer. Correspondence from Mark Goodge (District Councillor for Badsey) confirmed this.

There have already been accidents reported at this junction and regrettably on Thursday 29 October one involving a van and a motorcycle, leaving the rider in a critical condition and requiring the air ambulance to attend.

We, the residents of Maple Gardens feel, given the severity of this matter, that it has been left for far too long. The process to agree the remediation must be accelerated and the necessary works completed at the earliest opportunity.
