I can’t believe the school has to get signatures for a petition in order to be adequately funded for the vital mahi they do.

These children deserve extra help to achieve and be happy in life. Their parents need extra and accessible guidance and support too.

My brother has cerebral palsy and has benefitted in the past with educational services like this...well done guys and hope the govt keeps this well needed caring group.

This is an important and necessary place for children and families to get the support they need. It should be funded without question!

All kids deserve the best education they can have

Karen Carr (Hamilton , 2020-09-06)

It could be any one of our kids needing this type of education. It must be provided with Government support and let the specialists concentrate on the kids not raising money to keep it going.

Corinne Gouldsbury (New Plymouth , 2020-09-09)

I feel everyone has the right to tailored education to suit their needs.

I work in the disability sector and our people are missing out so much since govt.pulled funding we are seeing less people because of it and parents have no where for their loved ones having to give up their lives.to care for them. Its.bot fair and it's time they have their voices heard too

I know of a young girl who attends my children's primary school, who also attends this amazing place that helps out so much with children who need that extra help.
Such a great organisation and would be so upsetting to see it needs to be closed down due to lack of funding

I've known Craig since he was a teenager. His love for Zak and committment to him and his disability is amazing. CET is crucial for kids like Zak.

Craig and co do a great job for the kids and they need some help.

I genuinely believe there is a need for this type of organisation and environment for these children. My mother works with high needs children in their own centre at Stratford High School, and the extra effort, help and attention available for these students having their own area is invaluable. All children would benefit from 1 on 1 where possible, but these children NEED it.

Conductive Education in Taranaki provides an essential service for many children and their families in New Plymouth. Where would they be without it!

Paula Reid (Cambridge , 2020-09-10)

#1291

These children and their families deserve to have a place where they can go to learn and develop and feel supported. This needs to be in their own community. Taranaki is do geographically isolated. This centre is needed in our community

Joan Gibbs (Rahotu, 2020-09-10)

#1292

It's absolutely ridiculous that this valuable service to the Taranaki community receives no Government assistance.

Jonathan Armitage (Upper Hutt, 2020-09-10)

#1295

They buy precious time to fit their normalities..... expectations of parents is huge without having to raise money to suit the Special Needs of SPECIAL PEOPLE.

This therapy is very beneficial to create independence of someone with a physical disability.

Karen Ralph (Christchurch , 2020-09-14)

#1301

I'm signing because Conductive Education Taranaki deserves to be fully government funded. This community-led centre has been achieving cross-sector (health/social/education) outcomes for years. We have a Child and Youth Wellbeing Strategy and a Disability Action Plan, but what do these really mean if we're not supporting the people who are actually doing the mahi?

Renee Manella (New Plymouth, 2020-09-18)

#1303

Life is challenging enough as it is. Let alone having a disability as well. Than having to travel far away just seems cruel for the children involved.

The work that Conductive Education Taranaki is so important in our community and I totally agree that they should be receiving ministry financial help so they can continue this amazing work

I have a son with a disability & understand truly how much this would mean to you, your organisation & all our children with disabilities.

Puti Morehu (Auckland, 2020-09-20)

#1315

I'm signing because these kids deserve to be publicly funded. Parents should should not be dedicating their lives to funding raising for appropriate education for their disadvantaged children.

Paul Roberts (New Plymouth, 2020-09-20)

This organisation needs to be prioritised and deserves funding and government support!!

My child has attended and still continues to attend conductive education in taranaki for 4 years.
It has been an instrumental part of her early intervention and education journey.

Because the government needs to step up and help those who are unable to help themselves, instead of handing out millions and millions of dollars to people that are more than capable of taking care of themselves.
