Wax 'n Grind - Permit to operate from the same location for 4 hours

Comments

#3

We should be doing everything to support our small businesses.

Corrin Theobald (Glenmore Park, 2021-08-17)

#4

Local mobile business still need to work and operate and should be given exemptions to operate where possible.

James Newman (Narrabeen, 2021-08-17)

#5

They deserve to be able to operate in the one location. Everyone is doing their best to make it through lockdowns without going out of business so why would one mobile operator get to have different privileges to another.

Hannah Jackson (Bowen mountain, 2021-08-17)

#30

My friends have opened a coffee business in these stressful times bringing joy to people through coffee ;)
Please allow them the permit they need to stay in one place

Alussa Turner (Eschol park, 2021-08-17)

#31

Please let wax & grind operate their business efficiently, moving every 15mins greatly disrupts their small business.

Grace Broome (Emu heights , 2021-08-17)

#32

Two wonderful people doing their bit to pay their bills and make the community happy in the meantime. Let them do their job- especially if other vendors are allowed to do the exact same thing..

Rhiannan Atchison (Dee why, 2021-08-17)

#37

Every business should operate by the same rules as others. Permanent venues also shouldn’t have the monopoly on the location. Wax n Grind already has a great following and is boosting the community spirit, they should be allowed the operate for a minimum of 4 hours a day.

Natalie Doney (Narrabeen, 2021-08-17)

#45

I’m signing because I want to. I want to support a local couple building up community spirit. Wax n Grind deserve this permit. The council should be supporting small businesses, it’s ludicrous that our council looks at the permit application and denies it.
The council member that approves & denies these applications needs to come & see what a great job they’re doing for the community & the workers on the life saving club, the member can see that they don’t sell food like the 2 other cafes do so they aren’t a threat what so ever.

Cassandra Howe (Mona Vale, 2021-08-17)

#50

Especially in the current environment everyone deserves a fair and equal opportunity to earn a living. If others have a 4 hour permit Wax n Grind should be issued with the same

Stacey Southon (Warriewood , 2021-08-17)

#52

Fair treatment is required. Support small business!

Nichole Alexander (Mona Vale, 2021-08-17)

#53

The council should be encouraging small businesses and helping where they can not making it harder!

Kim Kindrat (claremont meadows, 2021-08-17)

#56

Wax b grind need to be treated fairly. There’s no reason why everyone can’t share the space. And they make the best coffee!

Ligia Jones (Warriewood , 2021-08-17)

#60

There’s no reason NOT TO give them the extended permit! They provide a great service, beautifully kitted out van, never cause a disruption to traffic and the locals love them ….especially with Bronz Kiosk closed for 18 months too. Come on Council!!!

Bron Baynes (Mona Vale, 2021-08-17)

#65

This is a young couple with a small business who are providing a service which has proved to be needed by locals. They adhere to all rules and should be allowed to have a 4 hour permit, just as others have.

Trish Vandenberg (Plainland, 2021-08-17)

#73

I’d like them to stay in the one spot longer than 15 mins which is ridiculous

Danny Kaurinovic (Sydney , 2021-08-17)

#78

Yo assist young try in g to work during covid. They brighten our morning walks and do no harm to anyone.

Marilyn Greig (Sydney , 2021-08-17)

#82

To support small business’s they should be aloud to attempt to bring in an income whilst following the Covid rules. It’s a difficult time as it is, why make it more difficult.

Amy Thompson (Penrith, 2021-08-17)

#83

I really want this coffee van to stay. It is just so good after my early swim to get something warm and they are a young couple trying to make a go, not wanting hand outs.

Margaret Perdriau (Mona Vale, 2021-08-17)

#86

I’m signing because i support local businesses. They are providing a service to the local community and should be assisted by local government and council not hindered especially in our current situation with COVID.

Scott Baker (Narrabeen, 2021-08-18)

#87

I want wax and grind to stay in our car park
We need them wonderful couple

Marilyn Love (Mona vale, 2021-08-18)

#90

I fully support the fact that this business is operating at the northern end of the car park. The beach front area has always supported 3 cafes. This is a local couple trying to keep working, they make good coffee, they are friendly and employ a local girl. Now more than ever our community needs to be supporting local businesses. A few weeks back I also wrote an email to council asking them to consider this. I can’t understand why they are blocking this?

Lisa Weber (Mona Vale, 2021-08-18)

#92

I'm signing because I want the coffee van to stay at the beach. I used to have coffee at Bronze and like the convenience of the van nearby. There's less crowding than standing at the Cafe.

Shan Withnell (Mona Vale, 2021-08-18)

#94

This is a great business and deserves a chance

Paul Grabham (Mona Vale, 2021-08-19)

They are a great business and deserve to be able to serve the community in the same way as every other mobile vendor.

Casey Lendrum (Penrith , 2021-08-20)

#109

I believe he is doing something nice for the community and keeping another person of government payments

John greco (Dew why , 2021-08-20)

#112

These businesses provide an excellent service to the community. There are parking within the allowed time limits. Just seems ridiculous.

ryan sinclair (Terrey hills, 2021-08-20)

#120

Covid lock down is already killing too many business. Don’t see a point. Best coffee in town and hard workers.
Please let them do they work

Thiago De Araujo (Warriewood, 2021-08-21)

#121

They deserve to be able to stay in one spot the whole time especially in the current pandemic times.

Megan Oakes (Sydney , 2021-08-21)

Kim and the team are amazing! Already a part of the community and it’s comforting to know that small businesses can survive during this economic climate. Do the right thing here guys.

Kira Stuart (Mona Vale, 2021-08-25)

#136

Everyone deserves a chance to make money and provide a good service to the local community

Julie Day (Saint Clair, 2021-08-26)

#139

Having spoken with the owners it seems only fair and lawful that they be granted this 4 hour permit alongside other vendors that have been given the same.
It’s just a bonus that the “Wax n Grind” owners are such lovely people and bring such a good vibe to the beach with their service.

Hugh Mckay (Warriewood, 2021-08-28)

#140

The 15 minute time limit is unfair due to limited businesses in area. Foundations for argument are unfounded as similar situations are at Avalon headland and curl curl

Maddy McKay (Sydney , 2021-08-28)

#141

The cafe at surf club has been knocked down and it is convenient to have coffee van on walk
