I'm signing because I totally disagree with the nay sayers and negative nancy's (sorry Nancy) claiming the upgrade will be bad for business, and parking and blah blah blah. I believe the upgrade will revitalise the area, making it a more pleasant place to be, to linger for longer. I 100% agree that the upgrade should continue. I look forward to seeing each new stage complete.

I think the planned rebuild is a splendid idea and I applaud the one way system as planned.

I can see the many benefits of bringing our mainstreet up to a 21st century standard, in terms of infrastructure upgrades, accessibility, social amenity value and future-proofed user-friendliness.

Brian Dixon (Dunedin, 2022-11-01)

The right wing idiot who somehow has became our mayor can't be left to wreck our city's amazing progress into making sure we have a sustainable future

Oliver Eden-mann (Dunedin , 2022-11-01)

#239

Its a fantastic project

Patrick Davies (Wellington, 2022-11-02)

#244

I'm annoyed by the way some new councillors have used the project to score political points, and don't want more money and time wasted at this late stage when consultation has already happened and decisions made.

Robyn West (Ōtepoti , 2022-11-04)

#248

Dunedin needs to continue to be progressive and the new developments are looking wonderful. A city to be proud of..

Henry McQuillan (Dunedin, 2022-11-04)

I’m signing because I want a people friendly city with a bustling urban environment that prioritises people

Nicola McConnell (Dunedin, 2022-11-05)

It's started already, looks amazing, why go backwards. Well needed upgrade and more parking for those who need it most.

I believe Ōtepoti Dunedin can be a fabulous city with vibrant outdoor space in its centre. The absolutely Georgeous redevelopment is a massive opportunity to reshape our city for the next 30 years. The design looked amazing and what is in place in the Farmers’ block bears the design out. It’s awesome and I am proud to live in a city that celebrates its culture and history in such a wonderful way!

Penelope Williams (Ōtepoti Dunedin , 2022-11-06)

#265

I believe the inner city needs to prioritise pedestrians.

Rose Smith (Dunedin, 2022-11-06)

#276

George St upgrade is just that, an upgrade, why would we want to go backwards? Why waste the money that’s been spent on making a more accessible and pleasant city centre? I used to avoid it, now I’m looking forward to visiting and actually shopping.

Jenny Weeks (Dunedin, 2022-11-10)

#280

This will be an asset to our city. Hell just one block done and it already is an asset to our city. Please continue.

Donna Smith (Dunedin, 2022-11-10)

#281

Its time for Dunedin to get with this fabulous new initiative and throw off its dowdy mantle.

Helen Don (Dunedin, 2022-11-10)

#284

I'm signing because I love the plans for the main street and want it to go well

Rosemary Richards (Dunedin, 2022-11-10)

The upgrades are improving the city

Dunedin needs this project to go ahead!

The work done so far looks fantastic.

What a ridiculous and short-sighted waste of time and resources it would be to stop now!

In its current state, the CBD is dangerous for many people living with disabilities. The new road layout would finally open up the CBD to this part of the community due to accessible parking, no high kerbs etc.

Shona Squires (Dunedin, 2022-11-11)

#294

We need to move forward with this project and have the pipe work infrastructure renewed along with the whole length of the thoroughfare looking the same.

Jude Loza (Mosgiel, 2022-11-11)

#295

I believe this will bring more vibrance and enjoyability to our business area.

Jan Liggins (Dunedin, 2022-11-11)

Please proceed with planned changes to enhance pedestrian access in our fantastic city

Linda Kinniburgh (Dunedin , 2022-11-11)

#302

I want to see the Ōtepoti retail centre thrive after years of languish.

Liam Harrison (Ōtepoti, 2022-11-12)

#307

The upgrade looks amazing, is amazing and the infrastructure needed fixed. Not upgrading the street scape would have been a huge lost opportunity. This work has been reviewed, consulted on and construction part way through to stop for another redundant review will be expensive and basically a vanity project at this stage.

Barbara Anderson (Dunedin , 2022-11-12)

#308

I want to get all of the Main Street done!

Ruth Kelsall (Dunedin, 2022-11-12)

#309

I fully support this upgrade

Charlene Gell (Mosgiel, 2022-11-12)

#312

I am signing because this development will bring virany to the city centre and pull us out of the 1950s

Desi uses Liversage (Dunedin, 2022-11-12)

#317

Let’s stop wasting money, and get on with the project which was agreed on
The motion to review the project is an exercise in self aggrandisement

Vanessa Durandt (Dunedin, 2022-11-12)

A facelift for Dunedin has been a long time coming, I love my city and want her public areas to look their best.

Hilary Henderson (Dunedin, 2022-11-13)

I love the upgrade. I want it finished asap.

Lynley Hood (Dunedin, 2022-11-13)

It's time we make George Street modern and people friendly. The farmers block looks great, let's make sure the rest are upgraded too.

Nicholas Molloy (Dunedin , 2022-11-13)

#327

I want the development, including the one-way traffic, to continue as currently planned

Judith Swan (Roslyn, Dunedin, 2022-11-13)

It looks beautiful and is updating a tired looking city.

Viv Voight (Dunedin, 2022-11-14)
